WEBINAR: Coastal Conservancy Climate Ready Series – Lessons-Learned from Sea Level Rise Adaptation Planning
December 2, 2016 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 pm
Join the State Coastal Conservancy’s Climate Ready Webinar Series on Friday, December 2nd from 10:00AM to 11:30AM.
Many adaptation planning efforts are underway in coastal California to help communities prepare for sea level rise and its associated impacts. The Coastal Conservancy has funded over 14 such planning efforts and would like to share lessons learned and best practices from our projects that can help others working on similar efforts in California. This webinar will highlight three case studies including:
- San Mateo County (Hilary Papendick, San Mateo County)
- Monterey Bay (Kelly Leo, The Nature Conservancy)
- Los Angeles (Alyssa Newton Mann, USC Sea Grant)
Representatives from these adaptation projects will share information about their planning efforts and key lessons learned through the process. This webinar is aimed for those involved or interested in adaptation planning in California. Time at the end of the webinar will be available for questions and discussion.
To register, email Hilary Walecka of SCC (Hilary.Walecka at scc.ca.gov) with your name, affiliation, and email address.
The next Climate Ready Webinar will be “Living Shorelines 101” in January 2017, date and time TBD.
